The Camp
Gilgooma offers a primitive camp site, approximately halfway between the townships of Coonamble and Pilliga.
As a primitive campsite, amenities are limited so you will need to be prepared to be self-sufficient and leave no trace. Camp sites are unlimited, unpowered and unallocated. You have the freedom and space to stretch out in your own private space under wide skies.
Unplug and unwind on the edge of the Pilliga West State Conservation Area; in an iconic Australian landscape offering rugged beauty on a grand scale. Gilgooma offers a low impact camping experience on a family farm and provides you with a genuine opportunity to connect with the land.
Gilgooma makes the ideal stopover for your travels, and provides a convenient home base for local day trips. Itineraries revealing hidden gems and providing invaluable local insight have been designed by your hosts and are available to guests camping at Gilgooma.
Bookings are essential and must be confirmed before arrival.
Bookings
The site is available all year round, weather dependent. At times, the site will be inaccessible due to rain or other environmental factors.
Bookings will be taken online, but will need to be confirmed prior to arrival.
Events
Gilgooma is a working family farm, but also somewhere we find time for great beauty and have a lot of fun! We are developing an events calendar which will offer additional opportunities to enjoy our surroundings.
